 Everyone has dreams that guide them toward their future. These dreams serve as motivation to work hard, overcome challenges, and strive for success. My dream is not just about achieving personal goals but also about making a positive impact on others and contributing to society.

Planning for the future requires determination and discipline. It involves setting goals, making sacrifices, and continuously learning. There may be obstacles along the way, but these challenges help build strength and resilience. Every failure becomes a lesson that brings me closer to success.

Valentine’s Day is often seen as a day dedicated to romantic love, but in reality, it is much more than that. It is a celebration of all forms of love—family, friendship, and self-love. While couples exchange gifts and flowers, others spend the day appreciating the people who matter most in their lives.

For many, Valentine’s Day is about expressing gratitude. Simple gestures like writing letters, giving hugs, or spending quality time together can mean more than expensive gifts. It reminds us that love does not have to be grand or complicated—it can be found in everyday acts of kindness.

In today’s fast-paced world, people sometimes forget to pause and appreciate the relationships they have. Valentine’s Day serves as a reminder to reconnect with loved ones and to express feelings that are often left unsaid. It encourages us to value emotional connections over material things.

INTAYON ILOCOS SUR FESTIVAL

 

The Intayon Festival in Ilocos Sur is a vibrant celebration that showcases the unity, culture, and traditions of the Ilocano people. The word “Intayon” means “let’s go” or “let’s move forward together,” reflecting the spirit of cooperation and progress among the community. This festival is often highlighted by street dances, colorful costumes, and cultural performances that tell stories of the province’s rich heritage.

One of the most exciting parts of the festival is the street dancing competition. Participants wear bright, intricately designed costumes inspired by local history and traditions. The rhythmic beats of drums and gongs fill the streets, creating an energetic and festive atmosphere that attracts both locals and tourists.

The festival also promotes local products and tourism. Visitors get the chance to explore Ilocos Sur’s famous delicacies, handicrafts, and historical landmarks. It becomes not only a cultural celebration but also an opportunity to support local businesses and artisans.

Protecting Every Children

 

The National Children’s Month “OSAEC-CSAEM” focuses on protecting children from Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM). 

This theme highlights the importance of keeping children safe both online and offline, especially in today’s digital age where technology is widely used. It calls on families, schools, communities, and the government to work together in educating children about online safety, promoting responsible internet use, and reporting harmful activities. 

By raising awareness about OSAEC-CSAEM, the theme emphasizes every child’s right to safety, dignity, and protection, while encouraging adults to take an active role in creating a secure and supportive environment for children.

SPENDING TIME WITH MY LOVE ONES

CHRISTMAS SEASON

Christmas season is a special time of year filled with warmth, joy, and meaningful traditions that bring people closer together. Streets, homes, and public places are decorated with twinkling lights, colorful ornaments, and Christmas trees, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere. 

Holiday songs and carols can be heard everywhere, adding to the excitement and reminding people of the happiness the season brings. Families gather to prepare special meals, attend celebrations, exchange gifts, and share stories and laughter, strengthening their relationships.

Beyond the celebrations, Christmas is also a season of love, kindness, and generosity. Many people take this time to help others by giving gifts, donating to charities, or simply offering support and compassion to those in need. For Christians, the season holds deep religious meaning as it celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, symbolizing hope, peace, and salvation. Overall, the Christmas season encourages reflection, gratitude, and togetherness, reminding everyone of the importance of sharing love and spreading joy to others. 

VIGAN CITY FESTIVAL

 VIGAN CITY 

Street dancing here Vigan City is a lively and colorful celebration that shows the city’s rich history and cultural heritage. Often featured during festivals like the Viva Vigan Binatbatan Festival of the Arts, the street dancing includes performers dressed in vibrant, traditional costumes inspired by Ilocano culture. Dancers move energetically to the beat of drums and local music while parading through Vigan’s historic streets, especially along the famous Calle Crisologo. The performances tell stories of daily life, traditions, and resilience of the Ilocano people, blending creativity with cultural pride. This street dancing not only entertains visitors but also strengthens community spirit and keeps Vigan’s traditions alive for future generations.

JOSÉ RIZAL: THE FACE OF THE PHILIPPINES

 OUR NATIONAL HERO

José Rizal was a Filipino nationalist, writer, and intellectual whose ideas played a major role in inspiring the movement for Philippine independence from Spanish rule. Born on June 19, 1861, Rizal was highly educated and skilled in many fields, including medicine, literature, and the sciences. 

Through his novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, he exposed the injustices, corruption, and abuse suffered by Filipinos under colonial rule, encouraging people to think critically about freedom and national identity. Rather than promoting violence, Rizal believed in peaceful reform, education, and equal rights as the best ways to improve society. 

His writings and activism made him a powerful symbol of resistance, which led to his arrest and execution by the Spanish government in 1896. Rizal’s death strengthened the resolve of revolutionaries and cemented his legacy as a national hero whose courage, intelligence, and love for his country continue to inspire Filipinos today.

National Indigenous People

National Indigenous Peoples Day is a time where we recognize and celebrate their rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples, including the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities. It highlights their deep connection Indigenous Peoples have to the land, their traditions, languages, and knowledge passed down through generations. 

It also reminds us of the challenges Indigenous communities have faced and continue to face, including the impacts of colonization. By learning about and respecting Indigenous cultures, we can help promote understanding, fairness, and reconciliation. Celebrating this day encourages everyone to honor Indigenous voices and support a future built on respect and inclusion.

My Reflection

 MY REFLECTION IN 3rd QUARTER

a.) During the third quarter, I gained many new learnings and discoveries that helped me grow academically and personally. I developed a deeper understanding of the topics discussed in class, especially through activities that required critical thinking, analysis, and creativity, such as projects, reflections, and presentations.

b.) Despite these learnings, I encountered several problems and challenges throughout the quarter. Managing my time was one of the biggest difficulties for me, especially when multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines. There were also moments when the lessons felt challenging to understand, and I struggled with staying motivated, particularly when the workload felt overwhelming or when I made mistakes in my outputs.

c.) To address these challenges, I made an effort to improve my time management and study habits. I started planning my tasks ahead of time, and setting priorities. Whenever I found lessons difficult, I reviewed my notes, and asked for help to classmates. I also reminded myself to stay patient and positive, understanding that mistakes are part of the learning process.

d.) Moving on, I will continue to apply the lessons I have learned during this quarter. I will strive to be more disciplined with my time, more confident in expressing my ideas, and more active in seeking help whenever im in need. I aim to improve my performance by staying consistent, motivated, and open to learn new things, so I can further develop my skills and achieve better results in the next quarter.

Science Month

At its core, “Harnessing the Unknown” invites society to lean into uncertainty — to treat gaps in knowledge or unsolved questions not as hindrances but as opportunities for creativity, discovery, and transformation. Pairing that with “Powering the Future through Science and Innovation” emphasizes that progress in the coming decades will likely depend on not only incremental advances but bold leaps into uncharted territories (e.g. quantum technology, AI-augmented discovery). In 2025, with the United Nations declaring it the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, exploring what is still unknown has global resonance. 

As this celebration unfolds in the Philippines, it offers a platform to bridge scientific communities and the wider public. In practice, this means more science outreach, dialogues about research priorities, showcasing innovations, and fostering public literacy in scientific methods. When citizens better understand how science works — its limitations, uncertainties, and iterative nature — they can more meaningfully engage with policy, ethics, and societal trade-offs like in adopting new technologies, regulating AI, or making environmental decisions.

In sum, the 2025 National Science Month theme is more than a slogan: it is a call for a cultural shift. It suggests that in the coming decades, scientists and non-scientists alike will need to embrace uncertainty, foster curiosity, and take collective responsibility in shaping science’s direction. Science will not simply serve society from above; it will co-evolve with society, with mutual influence, shared responsibility, and a renewed emphasis on values like equity, sustainability, and public engagement.

This Second Quarter, I have gained a deeper understanding of the lessons and topics discussed in class.

b. What are the problems/challenges that I have encountered?

This quarter, I encountered several challenges such as difficulty in understanding some lessons, managing my time between task and personal responsibilities, and sometimes losing motivation due to heavy workloads. 

c. How did I address these challenges?

I addressed these challenges by learning to organize my schedule and prioritize important tasks.

d. Moving on, I will…

Moving on, I will continue to apply the lessons and values I learned this 2nd quarter. Most importantly, I will keep a positive attitude and I will never give up, no matter how challenging it was.

CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate change is one of the most pressing issues of our time, and the Philippines is particularly vulnerable to its impacts. The country's geographical location, with its tropical climate and archipelagic structure, makes it prone to extreme weather events such as typhoons, floods, and storm. Rising global temperatures are altering weather patterns, leading to more frequent and intense natural disasters that devastate communities and destroy lives.

The impacts of climate change are far-reaching and affect various aspects of Filipino lives, including agriculture, water resources, health, and livelihoods. Rising temperatures and changing rainfall patterns affect crop yields, leading to food insecurity and economic losses for farmers. Increased frequency of extreme weather events also strains water resources, leading to droughts or floods that impact access to clean water and sanitation. Climate change health risks, particularly for vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, and those with pre-existing health conditions. The spread of  diseases like dengue and malaria is also influenced by changing climate conditions.

To build resilience against the impacts of climate change, it is crucial for the Philippines to adopt a multi-faceted approach. This includes investing in climate-resilient infrastructure, such as flood-resistant buildings and improved drainage systems, to minimize damage from extreme weather events. 

Strengthening community awareness and participation in climate action initiatives is also key to fostering a culture of resilience and sustainability. Through these efforts, Filipinos can enhance their capacity to adapt to changing environmental conditions and ensure a more sustainable future for generations to come.

INTRAMURALS 2025

 This is what everyone awaits that Intramurals has brought color, excitement, and unity to the school. This has a series of competitions, the event became a celebration of talent, teamwork, and school spirit.

From the grand opening parade to the breathtaking performances during the cheering competition, the atmosphere was filled with energy and pride. Each grade level showcased not only their athletic abilities but also their creativity, discipline, and determination to bring honor to their teams.

Its dazzling routines and synchronized

 moves that hyped up the crowd.

Sports of Basketball, volleyball, badminton, archery, boxing, swimming where athletes gave their best and displayed true sportsmanship.

Fun Games and Booths that welcomed participation not just from athletes but from the entire school.

Intramurals is not just about winning medals or trophies. It teaches the value of discipline, and resilience. Athletes learned to accept victory with humility and defeat.

It created lasting memories, strengthened friendships, and inspired everyone to continue pursuing both academic and athletic excellence.

Always maintain and clean our environment. This help us and our surroundings clean and safe to avoid diseases caused by pollution and garbage.

We helping our mother earth. This will give us clean air, prevent floods, and provide shelter for animals.

It helps to keep our environment clean and to protect people's health even animals. Always use reduce, reuse, recycle. Avoid throwing trash in the street.

Reflection

a.)  I have learn a lot this first quarter. I learn about the history and years about the internet. The difference of blog and those people who contributed. I have learn a lot this first quarter.

b.) The challenges that I faced was that there are a lot of activities, deadlines, check notes, and more work to do.  I struggled with a lack of confidence, especially when facing a difficult task.

 c.) I refocus on my studies and slowly want to improve myself.

d.) I will study hard and focus on my goal to achieve my success since a future of mine is waiting. And I want to make my family proud.
